in the Sanctuary for worship.
Join us! Bring a friend! All are welcome!
Worship
We gather on Sunday for a traditional Presbyterian worship service.
We invite children to join together up front for a special children's message at the beginning of the service.
Children and youth (ages PreK-3 through High School) may go to Sunday School or families may choose to worship together in the sanctuary.
We have a volunteer Chancel Choir, Carillon Ringers (handbells) and Alleluia Choir (children) that brings special music to our services.
We have many opportunities to volunteer as an Usher, Greeter or Liturgist.

Music
Our music program is under the direction of Dr. James Cochran. Jim has been at Vanderbilt for 34 years and has been a constant source of inspiration and continuity.
He single-handedly created the music program and has brought world class and stunning local artists to perform on the concert series, taught music to our Learning Center students as well as growing all our church choirs.
With Jim's vision for the future, we installed a Lively Fulcher organ in the sanctuary which draws everyone into the building with its beauty, visual and auditory.

Volunteer Opportunities
Vanderbilt Presbyterian Church has many opportunities for members of the congregation to participate in worship. We have a liturgist that helps in the leadership of the service on Sunday mornings. Greeters, Ushers and Acolytes help welcome people to church and offer assistance to those in attendance. We have an involved group of youth that help in this capacity as well.
All these opportunities help spread the love of Christ into the world! There is a place for everyone to serve "Under the Spire!"
Acolytes, Greeters, Liturgists and Ushers
Acolytes light and snuff the candles on the chancel. Greeters welcome people to the church on Sunday mornings. Liturgists help by reading portions of the worship service. Ushers help by handing out bulletins and collecting offering.
