Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

It gives us great pleasure to introduce you to this year’s stewardship campaign – God Can Do It: We Can Help.

We are a blessed congregation, and it shows in so many ways. We are a mission-driven church, recognized as a community leader for our giving to so many worthy and vital local ministries, more than can be listed here. We want to thank all who are called by God to participate in these endeavors and encourage you to continue your efforts as God directs you.

Last year, during the 2025 campaign we celebrated the fact that the average pledge per household increased by over $400 annually. We want to thank everyone who participated for their faithful generosity. Now for the hard part. The 2025 campaign resulted in total pledges of just over $958,000, less than the prior year. The reason is simple but concerning. In 2024, we had 60% of the households participate in submitting pledges. In 2025, that dropped to only 49%.

The stewardship campaign is meant for one purpose – to fund the ministry that is often easily taken for granted and sometimes overlooked. That ministry is the General Fund of Vanderbilt Presbyterian Church, our home. It is where we gather to worship, to glorify God, to fellowship with one another, and be fed by the Holy Spirit. It is the very essence of who we are as a church family. 

The ask is simple – please pledge! We truly believe that if each of us responds as God directs us, our church will not only be able to meet our immediate needs but be blessed with an abundance that will result in continued growth!

You will find enclosed information that can further guide you, along with an Estimate of Giving card. Cards may be returned either to the weekly offering plates, filled out online at vpcnaples.org, or to John Healy in the church office.
